Plural:

"gjess/gjessene" is only the Norwegian - Bokmål form of the plural. In Norwegian - Nynorsk it is: "gjæser/gjæsene".

Pronunciation:

It lists the pronunciation as [gɔːs], but the å is usually a 'regular' long [o:] sound.

Etymology: the Old Norse form is gás, not gæs (which is the modern Icelandic form, but the æ is transfered from the plural, which for ON gás was gæss (among other umlauted forms).
