The attention tag asks what the plural is and if it's attested. I'm not sure. Short words can often be difficult as they appear in other languages, as initialisms and as scannos. I can definitely find a valid hit for gaux meaning lice but most of the hits are actually for Gaux as a surname. Frankly I don't have the patience to check every single Google Book hit.
