RFV-sense failed

[edit]

NB that the sense "Derogative term for a female body with both male and female sex-organs and the sexual attraction there of" failed RFV and was removed. — Beobach972 07:25, 13 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Etymology 2

[edit]

I have a strong but hard-to-prove feeling that Etymology 2 is really two etymologies. They come from entirely different worlds, one an outdated technical term and one a modern slang. Herm has a pronunciation, whereas herm. does not. I highly doubt that people read the abbreviation herm. in old zoology texts and started pronouncing herm as a slur for intersex people. At the very least there should be some early-side quotations for the slang term--Simplificationalizer (talk) 13:36, 15 February 2021 (UTC).Reply
