@Ungoliant MMDCCLXIV I labeled the noun as rare based on a comment asking to remove the sense entirely and searches for [form of ser] + uma humana. Do you agree with the label? Ultimateria (talk) 08:07, 4 October 2020 (UTC)
- Hmm, not really. The noun humana is not less common than what you would expect compared to how common its masculine equivalent is. Maybe the commenter was thinking of ser humano. — Ungoliant (falai) 13:05, 4 October 2020 (UTC)

Spanish. I can find una humana in google searches, but a quick check of other dictionaries shows humano as a masculine only noun. We've included this since the entry was first created 2007. Is it valid? If so, should humano mention a feminine form? — This unsigned comment was added by JeffDoozan (talk • contribs) at 13:07, 4 November 2021 (UTC).
- I would say it's valid. In particular, it should be common in fantasy/mythological settings where a (female) human is mentioned by non-human entity. Though I do agree it might be hard to fetch some examples, I got these: 1, 2, 3, 4. - Sarilho1 (talk) 15:09, 4 December 2021 (UTC)
- Added cites. "humana" is mentioned by a dog and a couple of aliens, but there's no Wiktionary rule that the narrators of the work have to be human... we could have a debate about whether or not to allow machine-generated quotations, but that's not for me to start.
