Verb[edit]

When I had a heart attack in 1997, the cardiologist who treated me used the intransitive verb "to infarct," as in, "...when you infarcted." This was extremely memorable as it occurred in France and may well be the only time that I, an American, learned a new English word while in that country. Yesterday, I attended CPR and defibrillator training and one of the trainers happened to use the verb "infarct." Dick Kimball 12:58, 29 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
