Not lemmatized[edit]

@Caligari (Notifying Matthias Buchmeier, -sche, Atitarev, Jberkel, Mahagaja, Fay Freak): Surely this should be merged into hellhörig right? The correct lemmatization for the verb is hellhörig machen but since hellhörig werden is also possible it should be documented at hellhörig, with the +machen/werden as collocations. — Fytcha T | L | C 13:40, 5 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Yes, as I have noted elsewhere, German Wiktionary’s is often stupid, based on even stupider references or misapplying them due to lack of own interpretation. Like a printed dictionary may say “jmd. hellhörig machen” to give the government, which we could give otherwise as by {{+obj}}, but German Wiktionary slavishly copies the paper, so there we are. No, there they are. We are not obligated to slavishly follow de-wikt. I say, take this to RFD as SOP. —Mahāgaja · talk 14:30, 5 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

The following information has failed Wiktionary's deletion process (permalink).

It should not be re-entered without careful consideration.

@Caligari (Notifying Matthias Buchmeier, -sche, Atitarev, Jberkel, Mahagaja, Fay Freak): See also Talk:jemanden_hellhörig_machen The lemma is obviously without the jemanden; including that is equivalent to creating, say, jemanden sehen instead of sehen or see somebody instead of see (likewise for all transitive verbs). While hellhörig machen is the correct lemmatization, that one still is WT:SOP with sense 2 of hellhörig. I am sympathetic to certain combinations like boon companion where the constituent(s) only appear in one single phrase (my sympathy drops off quickly with the number of permissible combinations) but this is not the case here; hellhörig can be combined with machen, werden, sein and probably more. As for the nice audio and the collocation, I am currently trying to get that underway: [1], [2], compare also einjagen for a temporary solution. — Fytcha T | L | C 15:15, 6 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Delete, SOP. The figurative sense extends to the noun Hellhörigkeit.[1][2][3]  --Lambiam 11:06, 8 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

RFD-deleted. Quote, pronunciation and translation will be transferred to hellhörig. — Fytcha T | L | C 17:33, 13 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
