I just read a Kawabata novel in English and this term was used capitalized. The online Collins and Encarta however only list the lowercase form. — Hippietrail 19:18, 28 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

My Macquarie dictionary has it lower case, but Britannica online and Meriam-Webster online have it in upper case (all respected sources). At school we used upper case, which sort of feels better, but I guess it's like other art forms. Do you capitalize "jazz" or "postmodern art" or "break dancing"?
