A key press is not an electrical signal[edit]

Regarding:

The buffered electrical signal resulting from such an event, sometimes distinguished from the release.

That sounds very strange. How can a key press be an electrical signal? It doesn't make sense.

A key press can cause an electrical signal, but it is not an electrical signal itself.
