lynching[edit]

RFV-sense "Any act of violence inflicted by a mob upon the body of another person." Added by an IP in 2006 in diff. I think there is in fact another sense to "lynching" besides killing, but I'm not sure this is it — rather, I think an extrajudicial kidnapping might also be described as a lynching.
