German declension[edit]

Is is said that it is "meh|re|res 〈Indefinitpron.; Sg. von „mehrere“〉" in "Universal-Lexikon. 2012.". So it should be similar to beide:

Case Singular
(neuter, only substantivally)
Plural
("strong forms")
Nominative mehreres mehrere
Genitive mehreres/-en mehrerer
Dative mehrerem mehreren
Accusative mehreres mehrere

If we can get the same declension chart for etliche, that would be great. Aperiarcam (talk) 01:55, 25 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Maybe [canoo.net/inflection/etliche?lookup=caseSensitive] & [canoo.net/services/OnlineGrammar/InflectionRules/FRegeln-P/Pron-Indef/Pron-einige3.html] are correct (though that might only be the forms which are nowadays common). -eXplodit (talk) 03:28, 25 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
Yes. I think it is like beide, but we should use the table we have there. And this means two things: (1.) The neuter singular has no genitive. (2.) Weak plural forms must also be given. I can say, for example: meine mehreren Anrufe ("my several calls"). This may not be perfectly acceptable to all language users, but it does occur. With etliche this is standard ("meine etlichen Anrufe" is 100% grammatical). Kolmiel (talk) 14:07, 9 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
