Rfv-sense "south wind", that is, one blowing from the south. It's not even clear that the one citation given intends this meaning, see Wiktionary:Tea_room/2021/October#norther_defined_as_"south_wind". - -sche (discuss) 19:29, 6 October 2021 (UTC)
- Usually the word for a wind blowing from the north is northerly, even as a noun. Likewise westerly and easterly. But yes, norther would still mean a wind that blows from the north and nothing else, just as a nor'easter blows from the northeast. —Soap— 22:00, 12 October 2021 (UTC)
