@Lingo Bingo Dingo: The definition as it stands doesn't seem to be quite correct, or at least is worded quite poorly. I'm not sure what would be best, as my French is really not up to the task, but maybe it should be an expanded version of "A stripe or spot that..."? —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 05:55, 19 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Metaknowledge You're right, it specifically refers to a spot, blot or stripe, and not always in motley colours (I suppose most native speakers of English wouldn't call black and white "motley"). I've given it a quick fix based on the CNRTL definitions, but my French isn't that fly either. Lingo Bingo Dingo (talk) 10:48, 19 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
