The pronunciation of the 'y' at the end of Wiktionary is clearly different to the 'i' in the first syllable,so why is it represented by the same symbol? In some dictionaries they seem to have introduced the symbol "i" to represent it. Could this not be done on Wiktionary?

I am not very clear myself, on the proper IPA symbols. I do know there is some debate at Wiktionary#Pronunciation. Talk:Wiktionary might be a better place to ask? --Connel MacKenzie 21:26, 6 October 2005 (UTC)Reply
