Can we paraphrase "So appalling or sad that one feels or should feel sorry for it; eliciting pity"?
Especially "that one feels" part, which is pretty subjective (including my take on the subject) and obviously there aren't any universals.
Take a so called a sad song as an example, isn't it pathetic "that one feels" pitiful? Flāvidus (talk) 00:11, 10 February 2023 (UTC)
