A plane figure = a figure that in 2 dimensions (not 1, not 3). Bound by straight edges means that every edge of the plane figure (there must be at least 3 edges, since it is 2-dimensional, but there may be any number of edges above 3) is a straight line (no curves). Any such figure (in 2 dimensions, all edges being straight) will always be a polygon. —Stephen (Talk) 11:16, 6 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
