@PhanAnh123 There is a word pronounced as uýnh, meaning "to hit (someone, etc.)" in a sort of joking tone. Is it spelt as uýnh? Or quýnh? I'm having trouble finding either in dictionaries. If you can, could you create the entry? Wyang (talk) 05:56, 5 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

It's quýnh, I think it's a corruption of quánh, which then came from đánh.PhanAnh123 (talk) 05:59, 5 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
@PhanAnh123 Excellent, thanks. I made a stub entry at quýnh. Please help improve if you can. Wyang (talk) 06:10, 5 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

“uýnh”[edit]

Used on the front page of Tuổi Trẻ: Vừa đánh cảnh sát giao thông vừa hô 'Công an uýnh dân'. Wyang (talk) 05:46, 25 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Interesting ... Apparently an earlier version of that article cached by Google shows that the spelling quýnh was used originally: picture. Same story on Soha also uses this spelling: Người đàn ông tấn công liên tiếp vào vùng đầu 1 CSGT, miệng vẫn hô "công an quýnh dân". Wyang (talk) 05:52, 25 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
