Does the word “religiosity” have pejorative connotations?[edit]

In my personal experience, the word “religiosity” is used used with, at least, deprecatory overtones.

e.g.:

“Alabama is first in religiosity” is a polite or ironic way of deprecating Alabama, whereas

“Alabama is the most religious state” is a neutral, just-the-facts statement.

Should this entry note a deprecatory or pejorative flavour? I suspect so. Nat (talk) 21:11, 29 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
