Two Verb sections[edit]

This page was divided into two sections under Etymology 1 and Etymology 2. This was misleading however since both forms of the verb have the same etymology (see the Duden or DWDS entries to verify this). There are however two ways of conjugating the verb depending on the meaning, so it seems like the most natural way to handle this unusual situation is to have separate Verb sections under a single Etymology section. This is awkward but since the two forms of the verb have different conjugations (strong and weak) it would be difficult to merge the two Verb sections together. Perhaps it would help to have headings Verb (strong) and Verb (weak), but that could cause additional problems. --RDBury (talk) 04:41, 20 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This is a standard way of grouping entries, also used with nouns of different genders sharing the same etymology. – Jberkel 10:12, 12 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
