- when training for top competition, you either have a coach (entraîneur) or a secondant : this term applies to chess-players or sport-masters so high ranking that nobody could sensibly qualify as their coach. no idea about best translation in English but permanent assistant is what comes to my mind. --Diligent 15:44, 4 March 2010 (UTC)
