It obviously should be spelled Sock master, and while researching citations I discovered a compelling and illuminating story...

Even in 1894 they were dealing with AP and WoW, only in Canada though...

By 1945 the Sock master had made his way to Australia and was also dabbling in sheep breeding, they theories that Exxxxxnt intended to develop hybrid herds of sentient sheep to vandalize Wikimedia en masse may have foundation...(deprecated template usage) dun dun dun...

Approaching the end of the 20^th century, the Sock master has ineffably departed Australia and moved on to Northwest India, perhaps to include the genes of a Sacred Cow or two into his intellisheep, the plot thickens!

We all know where the story goes from here, experience trumps citation. The Sock master, using his superherd initiated his spate of move vandalism and train-fetishism across the entirety of Wikimedia, until a fortuitous outbreak of Bovine spongiform encephalopathy in 2007 wiped out his minions and we were freed from his reign of terror.
