Sense 2: "A house designed to be cool and used as a residence only during warm weather." Note that this entry only had two senses, the other being a second home for summer vacations. I have just added a third sense (the only one that I knew!): a garden outbuilding for relaxing in warm weather. Chambers has the outbuilding and vacation home senses; I wonder if this RFVed sense is some sort of confusion between the two. Equinox 19:56, 2 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

I would say summer home, but to me the 1st and 2nd definitions seem synonymous. I guess the difference may be that sense #2 doesnt need to be in a cooler climate, it can just have trees around, etc ... but if we can't use the 2nd definition on its own maybe we could rewrite the first.
