Well, a person might not be expected to interpret it that literally, but which definition of shit makes this "to talk badly about something"? That's not immediately clear to me, but even if it were pointed out, there would be two meanings more prominent from a list of a dozen or more. Keep. DAVilla 12:37, 2 December 2012 (UTC)

Actually, this phrase is used with quite a bit more versatility than the definitions suggest. For example, it can mean to brag:
