Origin[edit]

According to the Swedish etymological dictionary by Elof Hellquist, this word is, as well as a claimed Sami word tellte meaning "cover for a sled", derived directly from Proto-Germanic. However, he spells it telta. Can this be verified? --Lundgren8 (t · c) 13:58, 30 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
