Possible missing noun senses[edit]

Chambers 1908 has these noun senses:

  • That which goes through, a passage.
  • The blind and obstinately tyrannical policy of Strafford and Laud in administering civil and ecclesiastical affairs without regard to opposite convictions. (Something religious and historical? We'd need a less biased definition anyhow.) Now added at Thorough.
