Pronunciation

I sometimes hear Americans pronouncing this word with the stress on the first syllable, similar to “foward”. — Ungoliant ^(falai) 13:13, 21 September 2017 (UTC)

I think that that is just a variant of the /tʊˈwɔːɹd/ pronunciation. It's just a variant pronunciation. I personally don't use "toward", I use "towards", but when I stress "towards" I do often pronounce it /toʊˈwɔːɹdz/. Tharthan (talk) 15:16, 21 September 2017 (UTC)
