trainings or training sessions? http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Is_trainings_the_plural_of_training — This comment was unsigned.

"Training sessions" is the plural of "training session". trainings is the plural of countable uses of training. The most common uses of training are not countable and have no plural. For example: "You need some more training. In fact, you need several more training sessions." DCDuring TALK 00:27, 9 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

That is nonsense. It's the equivalent of saying "Let me give you some guidances." Therefore, I am deleting the text, because "training" has no plural form. I am looking at the Webster's entry as I write this. "Trainings" is the neologism of bureaucrats looking for a shortcut expression and more concerned with windy talk than with grammar. Now, I'm going golfing, or as you might have it, enjoying golfings. :-( 136.181.195.29 12:08, 31 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Read noun and compare it with present participle. — Ungoliant (Falai) 12:45, 31 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
It exists in real use: [1]. So we include it. Equinox 12:23, 7 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
We have no evidence it's in use with native speakers. It needs a Usage note. Even if it's only in use by native speakers of Indian English it would need a Usage note. — hippietrail (talk) 06:21, 10 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
