@Catonif hey, i've just wanted to let you know that there is also an alternative "etymology" (i think...) connecting it with tru (brain). p. 200, [1] Topalli also says that a borrowing from Latin is unlikely, even though he doesn't argument this claim. @FierakuiVërtet Thank you! I still struggled to scout out the different parts of Topalli's work from all the different issues of Studime Filologjike, so I'm glad you've showed me. About turi, Topalli is certainly right saying Latin derivation is unlikely, or at least very much flawed, as on both semantical and phonological grounds there are many problematics left unanswered. Sadly, his etymology isn't that much more likely either, and also leaves much to be answered... :/ But it's good to list.
