I like the sound of Ume, it's a peaceful tone that resonates like a humm, meaning the cooperative union of two or more people(human spirit), locally represented as you and me (together). It has a representation of the multitude of groups of humanity, large and small that form, like the Gaia represents the Earth Mother. It provides a contemporary version of the generic, somewhat isolationist 'us' or 'we'- Jeffrey h Page, 6jun08 — This unsigned comment was added by 91.74.198.134 (talk) at 21:24, 7 June 2009 (UTC).Reply

Where exactly did you come across it? BTW, is it "ume" (lowercase), or "Ume" (uppercase)? Because you seem to capitalize it, but right now it's in the entry for "ume". —RuakhTALK 21:52, 7 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Actually, I was thinking of how people can give back to humanity as a small group of friends, and also how all of us like to relate to others around us and wonder where we stand in this perspective. In pondering this small circle of similar thinking people, I imagined the union being represented by 'You' and 'Me'- putting it together results in 'Ume'- almost like a mantra, resonating as a unified, cooperative spirit. I was surprised when it was not more widely used other than as a version of plum tree and so thought it would be a good wholesome word for today's generation of team spirit. I believe this should be capitalized. Thanks- Jeff Page — This unsigned comment was added by SLDaco (talkcontribs) at 08:19, 8 June 2009.

Ah. Sorry, but we don't include words until after they're already in use. :-/   If you'd like, you can add it to Appendix:List of protologisms, where we put words that we'd like to see enter use. —RuakhTALK 15:24, 8 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
