USSR[edit]

hehe, USSR. Well, I guess 80's retro is the popular thing now.

Granted, I don't know of a good way to define this phrase. --Eean 08:11, 13 Dec 2004 (UTC)

the new def is rather good I think. --Eean 19:51, 13 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Oi! what about Israel?! Israel is part of the western world and it is in asia! Goodguy1066

Not a proper noun?[edit]

There is a link to a discussion in the Tea Room, but it is effectively broken.

What is the story? Why isn't this word a proper noun (Western World)? --Mortense (talk) 20:07, 30 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Done. "Uncountable" was wrong too. Equinox 20:08, 30 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
What about the spelling, then? Aren't most proper nouns capitalised? --Mortense (talk) 20:14, 30 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
Many aren't. This spelling is well attested. Equinox 20:15, 30 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Redirect[edit]

Under "Alternative forms" there is "Western world", but it redirects to the page here. Shouldn't it have its own page, as most other "Alternative forms" words (e.g. like webpage)? --Mortense (talk) 19:15, 21 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
