Where is descendant "Wiching" attested?[edit]

@Eiliv Of course, I'd love to know where, how and when any Middle English (presumably) dialect indigenously preserved a word for "viking" that didn't have to be "re-learned". Where did you get this, please? :0 Sigehelmus (talk) 11:23, 23 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Edit: It seems that you meant the form Wiching was also learned as a purely AS borrowing, sorry. I guess it would survive more as *witching or *wyetching (dozen spelling variants) in that period.--Sigehelmus (talk) 11:26, 23 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
