Template:ceb-IPA

From Wiktionary, the free dictionary
Jump to navigation Jump to search
  • IPA(key): /ˌseb ˈʔipa/, [ˌs̪ib ˈʔi.pʌ]

This template uses Module:ceb-pron to automatically generate IPA from spelling for Cebuano entries. This is based on {{tl-IPA}}; the back-end is in turn, based on Module:tl-pron, but slightly modified due to the differences in the phonology of the two languages.

Usage

Just call this template using {{ceb-IPA}}, but if stress is on a different syllable than the one implied, mark the vowel with an accent where stress applies. Glottal stops other than in codas must be marked with a 7 (chosen because it is similar in appearance) except at beginning of words.

The template supports multi-word expressions since 2023.
