This template links to the Wikipedia template {{dictdef}}. It takes no parameters.

The Wikipedia template {{dictdef}} (an alias of {{Dicdef}}) is used to label Wikipedia articles that are closer to a dictionary definition than an encyclopedia article. When such articles are converted to Wiktionary entries, the edit history of the Wikipedia article may be copied to the talk page of the Wiktionary entry for future reference. In such cases, the Wikipedia template is often "called" in the edit history. But since it has been moved to Wiktionary it calls this template instead, which gives a link back to the Wikipedia template.
