Template description[edit]

Use this template for third declension nouns that have:

  • A stem ending in a dental (τ, δ, θ) or dental cluster (e.g. ντ).
  • An accent on the penultimate mora.

Usage[edit]

Template specific parameters[edit]

All parameters are required unless otherwise specified.

|1=
The nominative singular
|2=
The stem with accent on the penultimate syllable
|3=
The dental (i.e. τ, δ, θ) or dental cluster (e.g. ντ)
|4=
(Optional) The stem modified for the dative plural. If not inputted, the template automatically uses parameter 2 and drops the dental.

A switch is built into this template. For words which have have ι or υ preceding the dental (cluster), set the {{{iu}}} parameter to "yes," and the template will add an accusative singular form with ν appended to the end and the dental (cluster) removed. Note that setting this to yes nullifies the possibility of manually inputting the accusative singular, and thus shouldn't be used if the accusative singular is to be input manually.
