This template specifies the gender, plural, and other-gendered word. It should be used just under the 'Noun' header for Norman words. See "Examples" for several examples, and "Parameters" for help on individual parameters. For example, on tchian:

This template contains the necessary meta-data to allow users who are using accelerated editing to create any grammatical forms semi-automatically.

Parameters

Parameter	Function	Default value (if left unspecified)
head, sg or current	The head word, if different from the page name, or to link to individual words	{{PAGENAME}}
1	The gender. It accepts m, f or mf	Category:Norman nouns lacking gender
pl or plural	The (masculine) plural form. When it is specified as -, the noun is given as uncountable	[[{{PAGENAME}}s]]
f	Feminine form	No default, only used when specified
fplural	Feminine plural form	No default, only used when specified
pl2	The second plural	No default, only used when specified
sort or cat	Sort key for Category:Norman nouns	{{PAGENAME}}
type	Used to specify the following: type=plural for pluralia tantum	N/A

Categorization

The template will automatically place pages in the following categories. Note that it will only categorize when used in the main namespace:

Category	Condition
Norman nouns	(all pages)
Norman nouns lacking gender	The gender parameter is empty (Using "-" hides the gender without this category).
Norman plurals	The plural matches the current page name, or the type parameter is "plural"
Norman pluralia tantum	The type parameter is "plural", or the plural form specified is identical to the singular form
