This template generates a headword line, categorizes Old Tupi noun entries and shows if it is possessible, its class and its inflections.
Usage[edit]
Should be used in all Old Tupi Noun entries, right under the Noun L3 header.
Parameters[edit]
|1=
or|possess=
(required)- Used to say if the noun is possessable or unpossessable and categorizes the entry accordingly (see more at Appendix:Old Tupi nouns). As of now, this is the only parameter for non-pluriform nouns.
|2=
or|class=
(optional)- Used to specify the noun class (see more at Appendix:Old Tupi nouns). The template recognizes five classes and categorizes the entry accordingly:
Parameter | Template shows |
---|---|
IIa | IIa class pluriform |
IIb | IIb class pluriform |
IIc | IIc class pluriform |
IId | IId class pluriform |
IIe | IIe class pluriform |
- The inflection is done automatically acording to the noun class. If left blank, the template understands it is a non-pluriform noun and does not show any inflection.
|head=
(optional)- If necessary, you can specify a diferent headword for the template. It autofills with the page name if left blank.
|ab=
or|absolute=
(optional)- If necessary, you can specify a diferent absolute form.
|f=
(optional)- Like English, Old Tupi nouns have no gender inflection, but sometimes male and female counterparts have their own words — for example kunhã (“woman”) and apŷaba (“man”). This parameter can be used to show these.
|reconstructed=1
(optional)- Use if the noun is reconstructed.
