AFAICT the last edit to this template to date changed the default language. I don't know what the job queue is doing these days, but someone should check Category:English defective spellings some time soon to make sure it's empty.​—msh210℠ (talk) 04:29, 4 March 2011 (UTC)

Oops, good point! As of the last dump, the following entries were using {{defective spelling of}} without specifying lang=he: שמש, פחד, פתאם, מדבר, קטל, אתם, קנמון, לקק, עיף, שכנע, הרס, מה פתאם. I'll fix them. —Ruakh_TALK 15:06, 4 March 2011 (UTC)

Also some edits to this and template:excessive spelling of changed the parameter that changes capitalization and end-punctuation, resulting in a change to the way entries look. Unfortunately, I think people (well, myself, anyway) have, by now, edited pages based on the new parameters, while pages based on the old parameters still exist.
