Parameter 2[edit]

This template is now given a second parameter, deciding another headtext if wanted. E.g. if the entry exists of more than one word. --EivindJ 14:16, 4 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Confusing notice[edit]

Hi! I don't know much about the content structure at Wiktionary, but when searching for a word not yet on Wiktionary I noticed the buttons to create new entries from a template. The (page it led me to (screenshot) displays an edit notice (Template:new en superl intro) that is either confusing, outdated or wrong. The instructions don't match the actual preloaded content:

  • The instructions mention "simply replace <!--fill in--> below with the "root" adjective form" but I don't see <!--fill in--> (nor the word I entered) anywhere. Perhaps it intended to expand {{{2|{{subst:PAGENAME}}}}} but it doesn't, it shows that literally on the page..
  • The preloaded content has an odd {{{1}}} in it.
