This template takes one parameter and formats lookup links like Requested articles:English/DictList

{{references|parameter}}

generates

The template Template:references does not use the parameter(s):
1=parameter
Please see Module:checkparams for help with this warning.

Which allows you to check Google, merriam webster online dictionary, dictionary.com, the cambridge on line dictionary and the urban dictionary.

There is probably a better name for this template.

No, 'tis fine. — Vildricianus 12:06, 21 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Deletion debate[edit]

The following information has failed Wiktionary's deletion process.

It should not be re-entered without careful consideration.

Template:references[edit]

As Mg said above: "It's only really used on two talk pages, and provides links to some external websites. The Google and Urban dictionary links seem inappropriate." - -sche (discuss) 17:37, 27 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Actually one one talk page, the talk page of the template itself, the user page of the user who created it, and a 2006 Beer Parlour archive, presumably also by the same user. Seems like a good spot for a subst: on Talk:snuggly and then delete it. Mglovesfun (talk) 20:27, 28 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
