Category[edit]

I noticed that this template doesn't link anywhere and doesn't categorize, so I added Category:Requests for pronunciation as it's a lot better than nothing. We could subcategorize it as Category:Requests for pronunciation verification, but I think that would make the entries harder to find, not easier. Mglovesfun (talk) 12:27, 27 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Good idea, I was wondering something similar but you beat me to it! Could you add a lang= parameter so that the entries can be categorised into the by language subcategories of requests for pronunciation (e.g. {{rfv-pronunciation|lang=nl}} would categorise in Category:Requests for pronunciation (Dutch)).  Done after some frustrations caused by some sort of cache problem with hidden categories. —Internoob (DiscCont) 21:47, 25 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

I have boldly changed this template to direct users to post their Requests for Pronunciation Information Verification (RFPVs?) in the Tea Room rather than the entries' talk pages, which is what the template previously directed users to do. As our talk pages note when you go to edit them, "Wiktionary's talk pages are usually not regularly followed by other editors. If you want to discuss this entry, please go to Wiktionary:Tea room instead, where more people will see your message." - -sche (discuss) 06:28, 15 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
