Possible change[edit]

Thinking about changing the first two parameters to the stem without the last vowel and then that vowel, like |şamarl|a| instead of |şamarla|a|, so that the 5th parameter won't be needed. I should probably do that. — [ R·I·C ] Laurent00:34, 8 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Ok, so parameter 5 will be needed, but for a different purpose. New usage will have to be more like {{tr-conj-v|söyl|ö|e|söyler|e}}. Parameter 2 is needed to determine the vowel change for present continuous forms. Looks like a v4 variable. I *think* that the simple future forms use a v2 variable. This might be different for verbs with monosyllabic stems, like demek which shows a change from de- to di-, which beklemek does not. — [ R·I·C ] Laurent02:00, 8 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Verbs to test:

I guess imek, ümek and ömek verbs don't exist. If they do, we have none. We've also only got two monosyllabic-stem verbs whose stems end in vowels, and they're both -emek verbs, so I can't really test one of my above theories. Or I can just find resources that don't suck taint. — [ R·I·C ] Laurent02:17, 8 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

There are ümek verbs. Too bad only one comes to my mind, bürümek. ömek sounds weird to me, I guess they really don't exist. But I'll try to remember "imek"s and more "ümek"s. Sinek 17:44, 8 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
I'm ashamed of not remembering these, but there are yürümek and çürümek as well. Still no imeks on my mind, though. Sinek 10:38, 9 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
