This was created from a long list of "synonyms" that were cluttering up the Muslim entry, mostly add by banned user Pass a Method aka North Atlanticist Usonian, who had an obsession with making Wiktionary's body of English terms re: Islam and Muslims exactly like the body of terms re: Christanity. This often involved making stuff up and, since PaM had very bad lexicographic judgment, adding lots of useless garbage to the dictionary.

There are a great many terms in this Thesaurus entry that are really general statements someone might make about Muslims, often capitalized as if they were titles. For instance, Muslims might hypothetically describe themselves as "intelligent", so Intelligent is listed as a synonym.

I'm not saying this Thesaurus entry should be deleted- there's a long and colorful history of terms for Muslims in English, ranging from neutral and useful to bigoted and offensive, and this might help sort through those. We just need to clean out all the PaM garbage and make this reflect linguistic reality. Chuck Entz (talk) 19:46, 16 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

I just did a good bit of cleanup and it looks alright to me now. If anyone wants to expand on this, it would be necessary to collect some citations to improve the entries themselves and their qualifiers. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 20:06, 16 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
