Gender, number and animacy

Gender

• masculine: {m}
• feminine: {f}
• neuter: {n}
• common: {c}
• masculine or feminine: {mf}, {m-f}

Number

• singular: {s}
• plural: {p}
• number can be combined with gender in one tag, e.g:
  • {mp} or {m-p}: masculine plural

Animacy

• animate: {anim}
• inanimate: {inan}
• animacy can be combined (space separated) with gender in one tag, e.g.:
  • {m anim}: masculine animate

Part-of-speech

• Noun:
  • {noun} (languages without neuter)
  • {n} (languages with neuter)
  • noun-tags are dropped if gender- or number-tag is present

• Verb, Participle, Gerund:

  • {v*} where * can be any combination of: i (intransitive), t (transitive), r (reflexive) or p (pronominal), e.g.:
