Thanks for your recent contributions in describing the stroke order of the CJK characters. Still I wonder whether a verbal description is effective. If some kind of progressive or animated diagrams could be used it would make learning much easier for the reader. Hi, I've noticed your changes to the Russian index pages so that the links from the by language page now read [[Ru Л index|Л]]. In the interest of trying to standardize formats, as I have mentioned regarding Chinese, could we have the Russian entries read [[Wiktionary:Russian index л|Л]]. Various 2004[edit]
Hi there. It's cool that you're working on the Japanese but I think your articles' format is a bit too different from the regular articles. The headings with the two equals signs should just be the language name. I think it makes sense to put the script name in here too for languages which can be written in more than one script — but I don't think the part of speech should go in here as I've seen you do with "Japanese particle". The part of speech should be in a heading with three equals signs. Also the definitions should be numbered. They should use a hash/sharp/pound mark rather than an asterisk. I'm also a bit confused by your use of acute accents in your romanisations — what do they represent? — Hippietrail 10:59, 3 May 2004 (UTC)
Hi again. Love the Japanese stuff! I've just become addicted to the song "flower of carnage" from Kill Bill, and I'm thinking of wiktionaryizing the lyrics. I've found the lyrics in romaji, english translation, and kanji on various places on the net but each seems to have mistakes. Hello, it's good you're putting in the physics content. I have a query about some of your entries. Are the strong and weak nuclear forces called just "strong/weak nuclear" or "strong/weak nuclear force"? Are the forms without "force" colloquialisms used by physicists? I think in any case that "strong nuclear force" and "weak nuclear force" should go in if they are not already there. — Paul G 10:09, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Hi again - thanks for your feedback. I would suggest modifiying "strong nuclear" and "weak nuclear" to say something like "Variant of ..." or "(colloquial) Variant of ..." rather than just redirecting. — Paul G 09:53, 1 Dec 2004 (UTC)
