-ing forms[edit]

Hello,

Just to let you know there's a bit of debate over which -ing forms are nouns and which aren't. For example more or less any -ing form can take the place of a noun, such as talking is good for you but this may be considered a gerund not a noun. The usual clincher is if it has a plural, it must be a noun, as gerunds don't have plurals. Mglovesfun (talk) 11:49, 23 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
