Hi! Regarding your recent addition, Reconstruction:Proto-Germanic/Audaburgz, please note that a single descendant is no sufficient basis for a Proto-Germanic reconstruction in most cases (there are exceptions, but there is no reason to suppose a PGmc ancestor here). Your entry has therefore been nominated for deletion, if you can find more cognates you can dispute that nomination successfully. — Mnemosientje (t · c) 12:25, 14 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Reconstructing from a single descendant can lead to nonsense like a Proto-Indo-European word for television- the parts may go back that far, but the combination doesn't. Chuck Entz (talk) 14:56, 14 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
Sorry. I had found an Old Saxon and Old Dutch descendant as well, but I forgot to copy them over into the entry when I was working on it. I'll fix it as soon as possible. WhistlingCanines (talk) 17:13, 14 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
