An account refers to a login with an associated username, userpage and user talk page. These may include anonymous accounts (also known as IP accounts, or informally "anon" accounts).

Multiple accounts[edit]

It is not strictly prohibited to have multiple accounts; only to abuse having multiple accounts. For example, bot owners must create a second bot-only account. Any user with more than one account should make this clear on their userpages to avoid confusion. Things that are not allowable include:

  1. Creating an account to evade a block (see WT:BLOCK)
  2. Using multiple accounts to influence discussions or votes
