Placenames stopgap[edit]

  • Voting on: As a temporary stopgap, making Wiktionary:Criteria for inclusion more consistent with actual practice (see e.g. Wiktionary:Requests for deletion#France) by replacing the following text:

A person or place name that is not used attributively (and that is not a word that otherwise should be included) should not be included.

    with the following text:

A person or place name that is not used attributively (and that is not a word that otherwise should be included) should not be included, with exceptions being made for place names that are particularly important words. (Exact criteria for such exceptions have not yet been determined, but it is been decided that the English proper noun France merits one.)
