Passive participles[edit]

How should we add "passive participles" @Fenakhay? As in مختار or مشغول (noun + adjective + etymology) or as in مكتوب? A455bcd9 (talk) 11:31, 10 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

apc and ajp merged[edit]

Combining North Levantine and South Levantine[edit]

Almost a year ago, SIL agreed to combine North Levantine and South Levantine into one language (see above message by @A455bcd9), and almost all words that are found in South Levantine are also found in North Levantine. Should we combine definition entries into one?

Many, if not most, pages (تلج - صور - تنكة - لأ - فريزر - لمبة…) only include the definition in one dialect but not the other, even when the word is used in both.

I don't see the benefit of separating them. FunLater (talk) 14:32, 24 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

See Wiktionary:Grease_pit/2023/January#apc_and_ajp_merged. It turns out it's not easy to do... A455bcd9 (talk) 16:05, 24 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
I see. Would there be an issue if I add new entries as "Levantine Arabic", under than language code apc, or should I still separate them until all entries are merged? FunLater (talk) 19:48, 7 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Nvm, this got answered on my talk page FunLater (talk) 20:33, 7 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
