- (organic chemistry) An unsaturated eight-membered heterocycle having seven carbon atoms, one nitrogen atom and four double bonds.
Usage notes[edit]
- The analogous compounds with three, two, and one double bonds are termed hexahydro-, tetrahydro- and dihydro- azocines.
- The analogous saturated compound is azocane.
