bhima f (plural bhejjem, diminutive bhejma)

  1. a beast; an animal, usually either as livestock or as a wild and/or dangerous creature
    Synonym: (general) annimal
    Il-bhejjem jintużaw biex jaħartu l-għelieqi.
    Animals are used to plough the fields.
  2. (figuratively) brute, hard-hearted person
    Li ma kontx bhima, tiġi toqtolli ’l oħti?!
